SSPC Train the Painter

SSPC Train the Painter is the internationally accredited coating applicator training programme created and developed by experts throughout the industry. The Train the painter programme is accredited internationally by Lloyds Register and fully endorsed by the Society for Protective Coatings (SSPC~). The scheme also meets the requirements of NACE No13/SSPS ACS-1, which is the joint standard for applicator training. This programme will prepare you for SSPC’s CAS, C7 and C12 certification programmes.

SSPC Train the Painter qualifies to the NORSOK M501 requirements for prequalification of applicators.

 

SSPC Train the Painter issues 5 year CSCS ID cards with QR code technology to avoid card fraud, ICATS cards expire after 3 years, saving time and money. Cards are renewed by showing evidence to relevant work experience up to 10 years then a refresher course will be made available.

All courses consist of theory and practical elements. The scheme meets the requirements of ISO17024 for certification purposes.

Bristle Blaster Operator Training

  • Combination of classroom theory and practical hands on session

  • Correct method of operation
  • Overview of the Bristle Blaster consumable items I.E Bristle Belts, Adapters, Accelerator bars
  • Overeview of ATEX Zone 1 approval and what this means
  • Overview on HAV (Hand Arm Vibration) adapter and what the analysis means to operator
  • Delegates receive a practical hands on session (10 mins operation). This is guided, supervised and observed by a Cactus Industrial trainer to ensure that the operator is familiar with the correct use.
  • The operator will be required to undertake an examination at end of training session.
  • On completion of the course operator is issued with Bristle Blaster Awareness training certificate.
